Dmitry Tkachenko, co-owner of Volya JLLC in the Cherkasy region (Ukraine), predicted that a rise in the price of potatoes is possible due to severe frosts and snowfalls. And also price growth is not excluded in the second half of the storage season - starting from February. He wrote about this in his column on AgroTimes. “Compared to other vegetables, potatoes are now relatively inexpensive. Now there is a mass sale of potatoes by those farms that do not have their own storage capacities. In addition, a lot of this vegetable was planted by the households of the population because of the war. Accordingly, there are more than enough goods on the market,” the farmer noted.
