Despite the ongoing war, Ukrainian farmers managed to harvest nearly 54 million grains, showing resilience and expertise. However, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has warned of a potential decrease in this year's harvest, attributed to higher nitrogen fertilizer prices and preparation time concerns for corn. Despite these challenges, Sergey Reznichenko, the head of agronomy and technologies of Corteva Agriscience in Ukraine, highlighted five reasons why farmers should not abandon corn. These reasons include its high yield potential, increasing demand, logistical advantages, adaptability to various growing conditions, and the availability of plant protection products and agronomic support.
