A protocol has been signed in Erzurum, Turkey, between the Metropolitan Municipality Halk Ekmek and the Regional Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives to sell bread for 4 TL in the Agricultural Credit Cooperative Markets. The bread is produced by a municipality-owned bakery that makes 100,000 breads and 22 types of products daily. The price will remain until the end of the year, with the aim of making bread affordable for citizens, without competing with local tradesmen.
