Anchovies, which constitute 60-70 percent of Turkey's fisheries, provide significant foreign exchange income through exports, while the anchovy quota for the new fishing season has been set at 400 thousand tons. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry issued an instruction regarding the implementation of the quota and production planning for anchovy fishing in the 2025-2026 fishing season.
