In October, the Verkhovna Rada adopted law No. 13174 on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the protection of land rights for owners of real estate objects destroyed as a result of hostilities. This is reported by AgroPolit.com. Currently, the document is pending the signature of the President of Ukraine. Thanks to this law, owners of housing, enterprises, or farms destroyed by the war will be able to obtain ownership of the land on which their buildings stood. The plots will be transferred without auctions and without additional urban planning documentation, if the purpose does not change. This means that people will be able to legally secure the right to the land, even if the property is completely destroyed.
