Prices for rapeseed in Ukraine remain under pressure due to low import demand from the European Union, and the increase in sowing areas in the EU may further reduce prices in the second half of the 2025/26 season. As Delo.ua reports, this is informed by the Electronic Grain Exchange of Ukraine. The high rapeseed harvest in the EU in the current season, estimated at 19–20 million tons, continues to constrain import demand for Ukrainian products. In the first four months of the 2025/26 season, there was a sharp decline in purchase volumes. Favorable sowing conditions have allowed European farmers to increase the areas under winter rapeseed, which raises production forecasts for the next season.
