The Regional Assembly of Murcia has unanimously approved an initiative presented by Vox to reject the construction of a photovoltaic solar plant, linked to the Valdelentisco desalination plant, on irrigated land in the municipality of Mazarrón. Vox parliamentary group deputy Pascual Salvador has defended the initiative denouncing "a new attempt to sacrifice productive agricultural land in the name of a poorly planned energy policy," and has warned of the growing "photovoltaic invasion of irrigated agricultural land," which is generating a "totally justified social rejection."
