Scientists from the Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University, part of the Federal Agency for Fishery's educational complex, have made significant advancements in aquaculture and fish product production, earning several patents over the past five years. Their innovations include methods for smoking fish, feeding gray sea urchin larvae, and producing semi-finished fish products with improved taste, increased safety, and extended shelf life. They have also developed a method for making gelled products from macurus, a deep-sea fish, and a method for preserving Iwashi sardine, which has returned to Russian waters after a 25-year absence, ensuring the quality and consumer demand for this product.
