The Rostov region in Russia increased exports of agricultural products to South Africa by 26% over 10 months

Exports of agricultural products from the Rostov region to the Republic of South Africa (RSA) increased by 26% in January-October 2023, Deputy Governor - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Konstantin Rachalovsky told Interfax. He noted that more than 64 thousand tons of agricultural products were sold, mainly grain crops, worth $14.8 million. Agricultural imports of products from South Africa to the Rostov region also increased by 26%. It amounted to 0.26 thousand tons worth $400 thousand. “We are interested in increasing export volumes to South Africa, first of all, food and processing industry products: vegetable oil, flour, cereals, confectionery products. Thus, 800-900 thousand tons of unrefined oil and up to 400 thousand tons of refined oil are produced annually, more than 100 thousand tons of cereal and about 140-150 thousand tons of flour.
