The rural carrots of Fertőd, Hungary, also received EU protection

By a decision of the European Commission on 3 November, the name Fertőd rural carrot was granted EU protection. As a result of the Ministry of Agriculture's Geographical Indications Program, the number of EU protected geographical indications has increased to 78: 28 food, 38 wine and 12 brandy names are protected in the EU, the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI on Wednesday.
