Russia's agricultural watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor, has imposed a ban on the import of cattle and beef from Brazil's Minas Gerais state, and has limited boneless beef supplies from Mato Grosso, due to cases of 'mad cow disease'. The ban includes cattle, beef on the bone, beef offal, and other products from Mato Grosso's cattle, with a few exceptions. The import of boneless beef from cattle older than 30 months from these states has also been prohibited, and the transit of cattle from these states through Russia is restricted.
