The Russian Federation increased the export of vegetable oil in the 2022/23 season

Following the results of the past season, Russia sold record volumes of vegetable oil to foreign markets. Incl. For the first time, almost 3.85 million tons of sunflower oil were sent abroad, which is more than a quarter higher than the level of 2021/22 MY, reports the Agricultural Portal of TC, citing analysts. The estimated export of vegetable oils in the 2022/2023 season was 6.05 million tons, which is 33% higher than the previous season. During the period under review, the volume of exports of sunflower oil increased by 26% to 3.84 million tons, the share in the structure of exports of vegetable oils amounted to more than 63%. The main buyers are China (790 thousand tons), India (683 thousand tons) and Turkey (620 thousand tons). Exports of soybean oil during the reporting period increased by 18% to 662 thousand tons.
