Russian grain exporters have achieved a record-breaking month, shipping 7.7 million tons of grain abroad, the highest figure since the 2017-18 agricultural year. Wheat made up the largest portion of shipments, followed by corn and barley. The increase in exports was driven by intensified supplies to Latin American countries and Africa, with Egypt being the leading importer. Additionally, there is currently a shortage of ships for grain transportation, resulting in higher grain prices in Russia compared to competitors.
