Spain: The sale of bottled olive oil rose 21% in October while sunflower oil fell by 17%

Olive oil has started this campaign with sales in October of 29.54 million liters of bottled product, 21.18% more than in the same month of 2021, while those of bottled sunflower oil fell by 16, 88%, standing at 22.35 million liters. This is clear from the sales statistics released by the National Association of Edible Oil Bottlers and Refiners Industrialists (Anierac), whose partners registered a total of outputs of all types of oils vegetables of 59.11 million liters (57.39 million in October 2021). Of the olive oil sales in October, 11.26 million liters were from the extra virgin category (+11.90%); 2.08 million, of the virgin (+3.12%); 13.13 million, of the mild (+48.92%) and 3.06 million, of the intense (-11.86%). To these must be added the placing on the market of 1.55 million liters of pomace oil in October (1.36 million in the same month of 2021).
