A new season for the collection and processing of beetroot has started in Ukraine in 2023. Two pulp factories, located in the Vinnytsia and Cherkassy regions, have begun processing the beetroot. The CEO of Astarta agricultural holding, Viktor Ivanchyk, stated that Ukraine can export over one-third of the harvested pulp, with enough remaining to meet domestic market needs. The production forecast for the season is 1.6-1.7 million tons of beetroot.
