The Shinhan Cooperative Bank (President Shin Hakgi) received approval from the Financial Supervisory Service for the internal credit risk rating method on January 29. The internal credit risk rating method allows banks to assess credit risk themselves, but it can only be introduced if it meets the strict requirements of the supervisory authorities. This approval is significant as it signifies that the Shinhan Cooperative Bank's improvement in risk management has been externally recognized. Prior to receiving this approval for the internal credit risk rating method, the Shinhan Cooperative Bank had implemented a rigorous risk management system across all areas of the bank, including the evaluation model and data, infrastructure, organization, personnel, and risk management culture, over the past four years. With the introduction of the internal credit risk rating method, the Shinhan Cooperative Bank's BIS ratio is 3%.
