The soybean and grain yields in Russia's Amur region are expected to break records by 2030.

Amur Governor Vasily Orlov participated in a national conference on the results of the planting industry. According to data from the Amur Government, in 2025, the province produced a total of 2.3 million tons of grain and soybeans, an increase of 200,000 tons from the previous year. The news quoted Orlov as saying: "In terms of soybeans and grain, we still have the potential to increase production. This year, we plan to produce 2.4 million tons of grain and soybeans. By 2030, we plan to increase soybean production to 2 million tons and grain production to 1 million tons, primarily by expanding the area planted with corn, as corn has enormous export potential." In addition, the region is introducing new crops—flax, rapeseed, beans, and lentils—to improve the crop rotation structure. The local soybean processing industry is developing, and with the factory of the "Union" company group coming into operation this year, the processing volume is expected to increase to 80%. The region is also continuing to carry out land improvement work. In 2025, 1,800 hectares of unused farmland were brought into use. The plan is to bring at least 15,000 hectares of farmland into agricultural production before 2030.
