The Vietnam Trade Office in Australia has exported 2,000 Tra Vinh wax coconuts to Australia for the first time by air, generating a revenue of 70,000 Australian dollars. The unique coconut variety, known for its denser and fatter rice and clearer water, is sold at a higher price and has health benefits. The trade office is planning to establish more Vietnamese fruit brands in Australia and is supported by the Ministry of Transport and Vietnam National Airlines. The wax coconut cultivation project in Cau Ke district of Tra Vinh province has led to the growth of over 22,000 wax coconut trees, with many health benefits including aiding in weight loss, reducing sugar levels, and preventing inflammation and cancer.
