The article reports the varied prices of vegetables and fruits in the Al-Qataa’i and Obour markets in Egypt, as of June 15, 2023. Prices ranged from 3.5 to 5 pounds for tomatoes, 10 to 12 pounds for hot peppers, 8 to 15 pounds for onions, and 7.5 to 12.5 pounds for bananas. Other produce such as eggplant, carrots, lemons, zucchini, cucumbers, cabbage, spinach, molokhia, potatoes, parsley, coriander, dill, watercress, beans, and various apples, pears, kiwis, avocados, peaches, and strawberries were also listed with their respective prices. Some fruits like mangoes, cantaloupes, melons, and watermelons were available at different price points as well.
