At the foot of the Stara Planina mountain range, in the village of Chervenakovo – right in the heart of the "peach valley" – lies the farm of Kiril Peychev. He is one of the recipients of the Forbes&Agri.bg I AGRI Awards 2025, ranking third in the "Gardener of 2025" category. We meet with him to learn more about his journey in agriculture, the innovations he implements, and the future he envisions for Bulgarian peaches.
Kiril Peychev: I felt the place as my own.
"My personal story began in 2011 when I came to this place quite by chance. Traveling to the nearby town of Tvrditsa, I looked at the valley and truly felt the place as my own. And so I decided to stay. I have no relatives here, no close ones – I am a hundred percent newcomer. But my interest... I did not expect this even from myself. It has not only not weakened over the years, but with even greater desire and even greater love I am here to create what I saw in my mind on the first day. What you see now may sound strange to you..."
