In May 2024, Peru's palm heart exports saw a decrease of 17%, totaling 459 tons, compared to the same period in the previous year. The exports were distributed to eight markets, with the United States and France being the primary ones, accounting for 43% and 27% of the share, respectively. Caynarachi S.A. and Virú S.A. were the leading exporters, contributing 91% and 9% respectively, and the exports were purchased by 15 buyers in total.
