The United States continues to deliver quality, award-winning cheese worldwide

The United States is the world's largest dairy producer, thanks to the dedicated work of its 31,000 ranchers, who implement practices to sustainably produce high-quality milk year-round. A significant portion of the milk produced in the United States goes into making cheese, also making the country the largest cheese producer in the world. In its latest trend report, the U.S. The Dairy Export Council claims that more than 102 million tons of milk were produced in 2022, with 16% of US milk distributed abroad in the form of cheese and other dairy ingredients. Last year, the United States produced 6.3 million metric tons of cheese, 18% more than the top three producers in the European Union (Germany, France and Italy) combined.
