American Dairy Export Council (USDEC) data shows a 15% increase in U.S. dairy exports, driven by the resumption of SPM supplies to Mexico and Southeast Asia, and growth in whey exports to China. Despite transport delays, SPM exports to these regions surged by 31% and 38% respectively in February 2021. The U.S. also exported over 30,000 tons of cheese for the first time since August 2020, with the Middle East and North Africa showing interest in cheese supplies. Whey exports to China more than doubled, making up 29% of the total whey exported in February.
