The U.S. has approved a contract of 13.69 million U.S. dollars for the procurement of pollock, salmon, and catfish products.

The highest bid was from Silver Bay Seafoods, with a contract amount of $7.07 million, which will supply 88,160 cases of canned Alaska pink salmon. Following closely is the major U.S. seafood processor Trident Seafoods, which received an order worth $2.84 million, including 494,000 pounds of breaded Alaska pollock sticks, 76,000 pounds of frozen Alaska pollock sticks, and 6,080 cases of canned pink salmon. In terms of catfish products, Mississippi's America’s Catch was awarded a contract of approximately $1.4 million, which will supply 304,000 pounds of unbreaded fresh catfish fillets at a price of $4.61 per pound. Also from Mississippi, Magnolia Processing was awarded a contract worth $895,000 to provide 228,000 pounds of catfish fillets at a price of $3.99 per pound. Alabama Catfish was awarded a contract of $342,000 to supply 76,000 pounds of catfish fillets at a price of $4.50 per pound.
