The USDA's May report forecasts a resurgence of Canada as the world's leading rapeseed producer, replacing the European Union which is expected to see a significant drop in production. The global canola stocks are anticipated to decrease by 4% to 7.8 million tonnes, with Canada and Australia reducing their stocks due to increased exports. Despite losses in Ukraine and India, the growth in Australia and Bangladesh is expected to balance the losses. The global production of rapeseed meal is predicted to remain near a record high of 48.6 million tons. The US is projected to continue as the largest importer of rapeseed meal, mainly from Canada. Rapeseed oil production is expected to remain stable at 34 million tonnes, with a slight decline in expected canola oil production in Ukraine.
