In 2019, Spanish agri-food exports to the UK exceeded 4,000 million euros for the second year in a row, with a slight decrease from the previous year. The country's imports of British agri-food products, on the other hand, grew by 8.3% to 1,270 million euros. The Ministry of Agriculture's report shows that fruits, vegetables, and legumes accounted for nearly half of the value of Spain's exports, making it the leading supplier of 'red fruits, kiwis, and persimmons' and the top exporter of citrus fruits, vegetables, and 'cabbages and cauliflowers' to the UK. However, Spain ranks fifth in wine exports to the UK, behind France, Italy, New Zealand, and Australia. Imports into Spain were led by spirits, which accounted for 21% of total purchases of agri-food products from the UK.
