The Vologda Oblast in Russia imported 9.8 thousand tons of agricultural products and food at a value of $41.7 million from January to September 2021, marking a 32.4% decrease in volume and a 28.9% decrease in value compared to the same period in 2020. The reduction is largely due to a 16.2% and 15.5% decrease in dairy product imports in weight and value, respectively. Dairy products, bird eggs, natural honey, and animal-origin food products made up 86.8% of imports in value. The region also imported finished products from cereals, processed products of vegetables, fruits, nuts, and other parts of plants. The main suppliers of agricultural products were Uruguay, Argentina, New Zealand, Chile, and Switzerland.
