Tanzania: The website adds palm oil investors

DUE to the increase in the demand for edible oil, the government through the Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa, urged investors, farmers and Tanzanians in general to turn to palm oil production to increase oil production. Despite the Kigoma Region, especially the Uvinza District Council leading the production of palm oil in the country, the awareness of the people about the opportunities in agriculture has been very challenging as they were using billboards to advertise these opportunities without success. However, after using the website more than 100 citizens and 20 private sector companies were able to fill out a form to request opportunities in palm oil production.
