In 2025, wheat production in Serbia reached 3,681 million tons – 26.9% more than the previous year and 27.6% above the average result for the last 10 years, according to data from the Serbian Republican Statistical Institute. 607,705 hectares were harvested with wheat at an average yield of 6.1 tons per hectare. The rich harvest undoubtedly provides sufficient grain for the domestic market and could significantly contribute to the development of Serbia's agricultural sector if the significant surplus is successfully realized in international markets despite the situation of disruption and low prices, commented the online publication Biznis.
