The World Bank promises to provide support to 90,000 Ukrainian farmers

The World Bank has started the implementation of the ARISE emergency project to support Ukraine in the restoration of agriculture, which provides assistance to 90,000 farmers in obtaining grants and preferential lending. This was reported by the World Bank, writes Ukrinform. Project financing includes a World Bank loan of $230 million from the ADVANCE Ukraine fund, which is supported by the Japanese government. The project also provides for the financing of a $320 million grant from the URTF fund. The project also involves attracting additional funding of $150 million, which will arrive as soon as donors and the World Bank receive such funds. Antonella Bassani, Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, emphasized that the ARISE project should help thousands of Ukrainian farmers in wartime conditions.
