A recent fair in Mongolia saw a surge in demand for fruit and ornamental tree planting material from Russia, particularly from Buryatia, due to their winter-hardy and heat-resistant characteristics. The fair featured over 10,400 seedlings of various fruits, berries, and ornaments, including apple, cherry, currant, pine, and poplar. These products underwent quarantine control from the Rosselkhoznadzor departments in the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia. The demand exceeded supply, leading to the establishment of contracts for future supplies. The fair also highlighted Russian fertilizers and plant protection products. In honor of the 85th anniversary of the victory of Soviet-Mongolian troops on the Khalkhin Gol River, 7.5 thousand pine seedlings were planted in Mongolia, and an alley of Russian-Mongolian friendship was planted in Ulaanbaatar.
