The average price of fresh chicken meat in Indonesia rose by 0.89% or Rp.350 to Rp.39550 per kg on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, as reported by the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS). The increase in chicken prices is due to a rise in the cost of livestock production facilities, with the annual inflation rate predicted to reach 2.20%. Food stall traders are finding it difficult to pass on the price increases to customers due to customer uncertainty about food price fluctuations.
