There will be support for beekeepers affected by the flood in Poland

The Ministry of Agriculture announced in a statement that it is working on a change that will allow beekeepers to apply for aid in the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy for 2023-2027. "The change in the scope of applying for aid will be available to beekeepers who, as a result of the flood in 2024, completely or partially lost their apiaries," the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development emphasized. The Polish Chamber of Honey reported on October 9 that as a result of the flood, "up to 25 percent of bee families" could have been destroyed in these areas and over 100 thousand bee families were lost. According to the chamber, over 7 thousand beekeepers suffered losses, and the flooding could significantly reduce next year's honey harvest.
