Two weeks before Ramadan, the prices of various vegetables in Garut, West Java's markets have started to rise, an annual tradition that continues until Eid al-Fitr. The increase in vegetable prices during this time is an annual cycle, with the exception of jengkol, which has already reached IDR 45,000/kg. The COVID-19 pandemic had caused price fluctuations, but the supply of vegetable commodities has since stabilized. Not all vegetables experienced a price increase, as the prices of shallots, carrots, and cabbage decreased.
