Not only agricultural producers, but also the average person can have numerous plant protection products on their skin, which poses a health risk. According to an article on agrarheute.com, a Dutch study examined, with the help of 600 participants, how much plant protection product comes into contact with human skin and how much adheres to it. The study involved both agricultural producers and average people. Participants wore silicone bracelets for a week. After the week, the bracelets were analyzed for 193 plant protection products using liquid and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Ultimately, the researchers were able to detect 173 of the 193 plant protection products in all samples.
