Livestock sector unions presented to the National Service of Quality and Animal Health (Senacsa) a proposal for public-private co-management to strengthen the Foot and Mouth Disease Eradication Plan in an effective, transparent, and operational manner. The note was sent by the Rural Association of Paraguay (ARP), together with the Association of Producers and Exporters (Appec), and the Center for Agricultural Studies (CEA), in order to "initiate an open, respectful, and permanent dialogue, as well as the search for solid consensuses," as they explained. The definition, agreement, and implementation of this co-management scheme is a prerequisite for advancing in the elaboration and subsequent implementation of any definitive action plan, they mentioned.
