The state government will invest 400 million pesos for the planting of mezcalero agave in an extension of 10,000 hectares, which will allow the economy to detonate in the municipalities of the Mixteca region, one of the poorest in Puebla, announced Governor Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina. On a tour of the municipality of Molcaxac, the president acknowledged that, historically, the Mixteca has faced various difficulties in achieving the necessary development that allows it to be just as competitive as other regions of the state, mainly due to the lack of sufficient water resources.
