Aquaculture is becoming increasingly important in the EU, with countries like Spain, France, Italy, and Greece leading in production. However, Norway stands out as the biggest player in aquaculture, producing 1.6 million tonnes of aquatic life in 2021, mainly in the form of farmed salmon.
