In the heart of Juína (MT), Fazenda Rio Doce put on a production show with a batch of young heifers, well-nourished and ready for slaughter. Led by rancher Eugênio Roberto Bergamim, the property sent zero and two-tooth females to slaughter, raised in the TIP system (intensive pasture finishing), showing that it's possible to have a good carcass and yield with the right management and care. The average carcass weight was 231 kg, which translates to about 15.4 arrobas per animal. An impressive mark, considering these are heifers, which reinforces the excellent nutritional management adopted in the final fattening phase.
