This year, the volume of live crab exports from Russia to China has increased by 15% compared to the same period last year.

The export value is approximately 800 million US dollars, accounting for nearly one-third of Russia's seafood export revenue to China. The Russian Fisheries Union reported that from January to October 2025, Russia's crab production was about 76,000 tons, an increase of approximately 12% compared to the same period in 2024. Other major seafood exports from Russia to China are also showing growth trends. From January to October, the export volume of frozen pollock increased by 5%, reaching 480,000 tons, with the export value climbing to 620 million US dollars (an increase of about 40% year-on-year). The export volume of fish paste increased by about 20%, reaching 27,000 tons, with the export value increasing by about 40% year-on-year to 60 million US dollars.
