The Ministry of Industry and Trade in Vietnam has introduced Circular 04, regulating the application of tariff quotas on raw tobacco and poultry egg imports from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for the period 2023-2027, effective from April 10, 2023, until the end of 2027. This circular aims to facilitate free trade agreement compliance. The tariff quota for raw tobacco imports is set at 500 tons annually, while the poultry egg import tariff quotas progressively increase each year, reaching 13,684 dozen in 2027. These quotas are exclusive to imports from EAEU countries and are specifically allocated to eligible traders who meet the required licenses and regulations, underscoring the commitment to fair trade practices under the Vietnam-EAEU free trade agreement.
