Jeju Seogwipo City revealed that as early open-field mandarin oranges are being shipped in earnest, the quality of the open-field mandarin oranges is improving due to favorable weather conditions, and thorough selection has ensured their marketability, leading to a high formation of open-field mandarin orange prices. According to the city, as of November 27, the shipment volume of open-field mandarin oranges is 112,276 tons, which is 27.7% of the 404,900 tons expected to be produced this year. The average price of open-field mandarin oranges is 12,172 won per 5 kg of goods, which is 11% higher than last year's 19,250 won and 35% higher than the usual 8,990 won.
