National Olive and Olive Oil Council (UZZK) President Dr. Mustafa Tan stated that the 2025-2026 olive and olive oil harvest estimate studies, conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, have been completed, announcing that a production decrease of around 35 percent is expected this year due to the "off year" effect on olives. Tan explained that 30 percent of the 2 million 450 thousand tons of production, which is 740 thousand tons, is estimated to be table olives, while 1 million 710 thousand tons are estimated to be oil olives.
