A Madrid court has issued the first ruling in favor of three farmers affected by the dairy cartel and has ordered the company Lactalis and Granada Dairy Industries to compensate them with half a million euros, sources close to the case explained this Wednesday. The Commercial Court number 14 of Madrid, in a ruling from October 16, recognized for the first time liability for damages derived from this milk cartel based on the resolution of the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) in July 2019. The CNMC then considered that eight dairy companies and two associations formed a cartel and exchanged sensitive commercial information.
