The Turkish General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises made its first bull semen export to Azerbaijan

Within the scope of efforts to increase productivity in cattle breeding, a total of 1 million 200 thousand doses of high quality frozen bull semen is produced annually under the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises (TİGEM) and the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM). At the Sperm Production Center of Malatya Sultansuyu Agricultural Enterprise, affiliated to TİGEM, semen is obtained from bulls with high genetic capacity. It is aimed to raise cattle with higher meat and milk yields by using frozen semen delivered to farmers through the private sector. In our country, approximately 38% of frozen bull semen is produced at the Semen Production Center operating in Sultansuyu Agricultural Enterprise. With this ratio, the center is the semen laboratory with the highest share among licensed laboratories in Turkey and holds the leadership with its sales figure.
