Lai Chau ginseng, a valuable and endangered plant species in Vietnam, is recognized for its high medicinal value and economic potential. Despite its scarcity and the need for conservation, ginseng cultivation in Lai Chau has shown promising economic results. The province aims to preserve 100% of the natural ginseng area by 2030 and expand the cultivation area to 10,000 hectares by 2045. Efforts are being made to attract domestic and foreign investment for the development of ginseng, with a focus on creating a closed production chain to ensure high income for the local population. The ginseng's potential as a national treasure and a means to alleviate poverty in mountainous and border areas is being actively pursued.
