Industrial exports from Rio Grande do Sul ended 2025 with an advance of 2.8% compared to 2024. In the same period, tobacco registered a growth of 11.2% and increased its share in the State's total external sales. Data from the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul indicate that the manufacturing industry exported US$ 16,773.1 million in 2025. The value exceeds by US$ 449.3 million the result of 2024, when external sales totaled US$ 16,323.8 million. Tobacco accounted for US$ 3,040.2 million of this total, with an annual increase of US$ 307.2 million. Surveys from the Department of Economics and Statistics, linked to the Secretariat of Planning, Governance and Management, reinforce the weight of the segment.
