Representatives from entities in the productive sector carried out, between April 7 and 9, a series of visits to tobacco companies in the three southern states to evaluate the marketing of the 2025/2026 tobacco crop. The agenda brought together leaders from Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, and Paraná, focusing on the analysis of prices paid, product quality, and the classification criteria adopted by the industry. The initiative was attended by the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of Santa Catarina, the Association of Tobacco Growers of Brazil, and federations of agriculture and rural workers from the region. The president of the Rural Producers' Union of Irineópolis, Francisco Eraldo Konkol, represented Faesc during the program.
