Netherlands: Tomato price climbs above average again, volumes lower

The average price for aubergines and tomatoes rose further last week on the VBT clocks. This means that after a difficult month of August, tomato prices once again exceeded the five-year average. Cucumber prices have been well above that average for weeks. Prices are less extreme in sweet peppers. The average price for both loose tomatoes and vine tomatoes rose in week 36.
