The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey has imposed a limit on tomato exports from now until mid-April due to a surge in prices and the aftermath of an earthquake. This decision is expected to impact the greenhouse tomato market in Ukraine and Moldova, which heavily rely on Turkish imports. Ukrainian importers are seeking alternatives, but it remains uncertain if they can match the Turkish supplies. Experts predict a significant price increase in the absence of Turkish tomatoes, with the exception of exports to Northern Cyprus, Palestine, and Azerbaijan, which are not restricted.
